The number behind the headline
There were 37 firm sales across Brantford and Brant County from September 16–23, against 608 active listings. That works out to 16.4 weeks of supply. Only seven of those homes sold in 14 days or less.
Below $750K, this market moves. Above it, it waits for you.
Twenty-five of the 37 firm sales—68%—were under $750,000. That is the clearest split in the week’s numbers: buyers are still moving, but most of the movement is concentrated below that line.
The cancel–relist shuffle
Seven listings expired and 40 were cancelled. Of those 47 listings, 28 returned to market: 20 at a lower price, five at the same price and three at a higher price. Nineteen did not return during the measured period.
For sellers, the message is blunt: the market is unforgiving when buyers do not agree with the price. For buyers, the inventory and relist activity create room to compare carefully and negotiate from evidence.
How this update is measured
This is a seven-day snapshot of ITSO MLS® System activity across Brantford and Brant County, covering September 16–23, 2026. “Sold” means a property went firm or pending during the period—not that it closed. Weeks of supply is active inventory divided by the week’s firm sales. The $595,000 figure is the median list price of pending properties; the final sale price may differ.
